The reusable mold is genius because my kids made star-shaped crayons on the first try. I love that it uses the sun so there's no mess with melting wax indoors. The solar oven actually got hot enough to recycle a full batch in about 20 minutes on a sunny afternoon.

My 6-year-old was thrilled to see her broken crayons turn into a star-shaped one using the solar oven. It actually got hot enough to melt them on a sunny afternoon, which felt like a little science win for both of us. The reusable mold is a nice touch for making multiple batches.

My daughter loved watching the solar oven melt the crayons, though it took a bit longer than I expected on a partly cloudy day. The star-shaped molds came out perfectly, and it sparked a great conversation about renewable energy.
