لقاء ماه جونغ

I bought this for a game night with friends who had never played Mahjong before, and the clear history and basic rules section got everyone started in under 10 minutes. The tile-based strategy is much easier to pick up than I expected from the description.

The history section is a nice touch that gives context before you even touch the tiles, which I appreciated as a total beginner. Rules are laid out clearly enough to get through a first game without constant phone checks, though I wish it went a bit deeper into strategy. Still, it's a solid starting

I wish the rulebook went a bit deeper into scoring, but the history section and tile images make it a perfect starting point for absolute beginners.
