GeoSafari® Fossil Excavation Kit

My son spent a solid hour carefully chipping away at the plaster block, and the included excavation tool worked perfectly for getting into the small crevices. The fossil replicas look surprisingly realistic once cleaned off, and it kept him engaged without needing my help.

My son was absolutely thrilled when he chipped away the plaster block and uncovered his first fossil replica. The excavation block kept him engaged for a solid afternoon, and the included tools made it feel like a real paleontologist's kit.

We found a few of the smaller fossil pieces were hard to differentiate from the dirt clods, which was a bit frustrating for my 8-year-old. The included mallet and chisel felt sturdy enough, though, and after some help identifying them, she really enjoyed the overall excavation process.
