My 8-year-old and I have been battling it out every afternoon and the spring-loaded base actually keeps it upright on our bumpy grass. The ball whips around fast enough that even I have to sprint to keep up.

We've had ours for a few weeks and the kids are still obsessed with the fast-paced back-and-forth. The base stays put on grass without sliding around, which was my main worry. Definitely seeing some competitive streaks come out during play.

Got this for the backyard and my two kids are obsessed—the competitive pace keeps them going for way longer than I expected. It handles our slightly uneven grass fine, though the base could be a bit sturdier on really hard ground. Still, for the price and the fun factor, it's a solid buy.
