The bin is sturdy enough to survive daily use, and the included brush and scoop keep my kid busy for a solid 20 minutes while I make coffee. It's messy in a controlled way, which is exactly what I was hoping for, and cleanup is just wiping down the bin lid.

My three-year-old has been scooping and sifting for twenty minutes straight, which is basically a miracle. The bin being self-contained means all the mess stays put, and the brush is just the right size for her little hands to practice those fine motor moves.

The little brush and sifter tools keep my son engaged way longer than I expected, and the sand holds its shape well for burying the dinosaurs again. It's been a fantastic mess-free activity for rainy afternoons.
